Senior Adviser
Xavier Esteve embarked on his career in the financial sector, initially serving as a lead advisor and transaction specialist at PwC, where he provided guidance to banks and private equity funds on M&A projects. During the 2008 financial crisis, he seized the opportunity to enhance his expertise by focusing on distress situations, turnaround strategies, and portfolio rationalisation, particularly in response to the challenges posed by the subprime crisis.
In 2013, Mr Esteve made a significant move to Brazil, where he became part of the executive committee of a privately held investment portfolio. The diverse portfolio spanned various sectors, including energy, bio assets, infrastructure, terminals, logistics, real estate, and commodity trading.
Assuming the role of CEO in 2014, Mr Esteve oversaw numerous liquidity events, mergers, turnaround initiatives, acquisitions, and debt negotiations. Through these strategic projects, he not only gained a profound understanding of the private equity sector but also established a robust network of institutional partners and a commendable track record in deal execution.
Returning to Switzerland in 2021, Mr Esteve formulated an investment theory focused on wealth management and private equity tailored to the Swiss market. In early 2023, his vision aligned with that of an Almha investor, leading to a decision to join forces and create a new entity within the investment industry.
