Mr Archie Thomason is an Associate at Milltrust International LLP, where he divides his time between assessing and executing private investments, working with portfolio companies, and fundraising.

Prior to Milltrust, Archie was an Analyst for AgbioInvestor, the leading source of global crop protection market information and analysis, where he performed data research and agrochemical consultancies.

Archie completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh, where he graduated with first-class honours. With being brought up in the farming community in rural Shropshire, Archie tailored his degree to focus on understanding food systems through an anthropological lens – studying areas such as the biopolitics of the BSE crisis and the human-animal relations of nomadic tribes. His dissertation looked at farmer-livestock relations in an increasingly robotised dairy industry, which fostered a passion for AgTech and the future of food production.

Outside of work, he is a Shrewsbury Town FC supporter and avid follower of England cricket.
